I had to share a few pictures of the newest Tooshie Push Pettiskirts™ custom skirt I just finished. It is so adorable! The proud new owner is going to be modeling it in a pageant at the (once featured on The Oprah Show) Golden Sweet Potato Festival in Texas. This skirt was huge. It was 6 feet wide starting out and then I added gathers of chiffon and frill! I was so excited and honored to have made this for them! Thank you Candiss!!

Ready to ship and waist will be custom sized to your requirements. This skirt is approx 12 inches long and will best fit a size 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 child. Keep in mind the length when deciding if this skirt is best for you. This skirt is SO cute and is for that special girly girl! It is made with a satin waist and the top layer is a print cotton w/satin bow and the bottom layer 100% chiffon. Handmade by me (this is not imported) and with sergered seams. From smoke & pet free home. I have made a lot of pettis and by far this one is my favorite. I make and sell these locally where I live and they are a huge hit. Well after a week and half of going through my lovely stash of fabric looking for the perfect spring print I finally decided that what I was looking for wasnt going to be in my stash. I went to one of my favorite local craft stores and really thinking before I even got there that I would probably not find anything that just jumped out at me and said "Spring". Boy, was I wrong. So for the past week I have been working on this cute little number and it is available ready to ship in a size 4/5 or custom made size 12 months up to size 8.

I forgot I had registered for a drawing on the Girl Indie Blog back in January and yesterday I checked my spam folder and seen where they had emailed me on Feb 2. I read the email and it said I had won the drawing for a $50 gift certicate to E.A.D Designs!!! I was so excited I felt like a kid in a candy store when I went to their website to spend my $50!! So we moved into a new house 3 months ago. We had been told our house is energy efficient and the utilities were cheap, blah, blah. So we have got 3 bills and all where over $350. WTH, thats not cheap! First bill were like "ok, not so bad", second bill comes, "OMG this is expensive" So we crank the thermostat up a degree higher and really start jumping the kids about leaving tv's on and lights ..etc. etc. thinking the next bill should look better. Third bill comes, its even more. THIS IS INSANE! So bewildered I was but hadnt had a chance to think about it much since the bill came yesterday but was pretty much had accepted the fact that they were going to be expensive and we were just going to have to live with i t. :(

Last night and the night before have been real nice and in the 50 & 60's so we have been sleeping with the windows open. So I raise the thermostat to 80. I opened the windows last night around 8pm and around 10 it was time for bed for the little ones. Noticing as I walked Emerson to her room that the fan is running on the air conditioner. I'm like 'thats not right'. So then it dawned on me check to make sure the fan was set to "auto" and not "on". I checked the upstairs thermostat and it was right. So then Steve went downstairs and checks that one and wouldnt you know the darn thing was switched to "ON!" OMG!!!! These past 3 months the fan has been running non stop. Not sure how or who changed it but dont you know today that its on "auto". I couldnt believe it! SO next months bill should be pleasant. So thats how I save on electricity.
